Breakfast is its own restaurant category in the United States. Diners serve eggs, pancakes, hash browns and bottomless coffee from early morning, sometimes around the clock; breakfast and brunch restaurants open around 7 and close in the early afternoon; delis and sandwich shops sell egg sandwiches and bagels to go and switch to lunch by 11. Weekend brunch, roughly 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., is the busiest shift of the week, and well-known spots run waits of 30 to 60 minutes; many now take reservations or a waitlist through an app. Expect large portions, free refills on drip coffee and a tip of 15 to 20 percent for table service. Creperies, waffle houses and bistros round out the group with sweeter or European-style menus.

Had biscuits and gravy and the biscuits were a bit overly done, but the rest of our food was good. Coffee was hot and fresh. But server was nice and prices were okay.

This was the experience that my father and his friends went through they all sat down and all ordered I wanted just taking eggs with the piece of ham on the side and on my potatoes I wanted mushroom green peppers and onions and I wanted my potatoes crispy and and instead of the toast I asked to get two tortillas instead I knew they had tortillas cuz Tony had a breakfast burrito which was really nice I actually tipped her $20 in advance I told her this is for you don't share with anybody so after we put our order in we get our food everything's good on my plate except my potatoes are not crispy they're a little cold as a matter of fact so I asked to waitress I grab everything's great here but could you take these potatoes and ask the cooked to make them a little crispy cook them a little longer so she goes okay then she said but leave those on your plate I'll get you another order you're not supposed to take food let's say it's a dining room you're not supposed to take it back to the kitchen and put it on the grill they just replace it usually so anyways 8 minutes go by the manager comes out very rudely hands me another order of potatoes with mushroom green peppers and onions the on

Great experience at Spuds restaurant off of Waverly in Lansing, Michigan. Jeanie our server was great. Super nice, helpful, and checking in on us. Great atmosphere inside the restaurant, it's a great place to meet up and have a good meal with solid service and be able to talki, catch up, and hang out as you eat. I was there with a friend for breakfast and got the 2 eggs, meat, potatoes, and toast option. Food was great and a hefty portion as well. 5 Stars for Spuds all-around! I will definitely be back!

This was our first time here. First, our server was really great! I'm not sure her name but she interacted with our son and was very friendly. We were not at all impressed with the biscuits and gravy and felt like it was straight out of a can. We were also very excited about the sourdough bread but the butter tasted kindof burnt or old or something and we didn't end up eating it. I was, however, very impressed with the feta cheese in my gyro omelet. It was so good and like no feta I've had before. I asked the server about it and she said the owner brings it from Detroit. The gyro meat had very good flavor as well, which is not usually the case at many restaurants. The corned beef hash wasn't from a can and my son loved it! I inquired about the desserts in the case as I paid my bill and the lady was very friendly and patient as she explained all of them. We got a coconut cake with raspberry filling. Very good!

The breakfast was decent. My husband really liked the Mexican omelet. I had one scrambled egg with bacon and potatoes. The bacon was not crisp - not cooked. My husband wouldn't even eat them. He liked the soft potatoes; me, not so much. The one good thing was the price. But if you can't eat the food, the price doesn't matter much.
